JAN / FEB EMPTIES

Lots of empties this month and last month a bit of everything really so lets get started.  First off we have hair and body products.

Garnier ultimate blends 'The colour illuminator' shampoo 400ml -£3.89
I alternate between a colour shampoo and my favourite shampoo by herbal essence this shampoo was ok but not a favourite it has no parabens and protects colour radiance I would rate it as average, overall I prefer the sleek and straight (brown bottle) shampoo from this range.

COLAB Dry shampoo by Ruth Crilly A Model Recommends-200ml £3.49
I love this dry shampoo great fragrance and invisible formula makes this a winner! Constantly repurchasing I think I have tried every fragrence now they are really good!

Superdrug Style expertise gel spray -200ml £2.99
This is a run of the mill standard gel spray not much to say usually use VO5 picked this up as on offer would repurchase again.

Mitchum Deodorant powder fresh roll on 50ml -£2.99
My  usual deodorant can't beat this one great for the city living and that hot and sweaty commute.

Lush So white shower gel 100ml- part of a gift set
I was really disappointed with this shower gel as I love Lush products and I got this in a gift set but the scent is too sour apples for me and not very snow like yes its white but overall not for me.

Uriage Xemose cleansing oil-€14 approx only available in France
A great facial cleansing oil which I use on a daily basis in the morning everyday this is really great if you suffer from dry or very dry or hyper sensitive skin or any skin complaints as it is hypoallergenic and perfume free.  It also creates a a thin film over the skin protecting it from hard waters and the drying effects of water on sensitive skins.  This comes in a 400ml size which lasts forever my lasted well over 6 months and just recently repurchased it.

Bioderma Crealine H20 Micellaire cleansing solution 500ml-€18 euros (for two bottles)
Not much to say about this it is just my favourite cleanser that I have been using for a long time such a good product see my full review here

Garnier miracle skin cream normally £12.99 currently on offer £8.66 here at Superdrug 50ml
This is my go to product for a non makeup makeup days it is essentially an all singing all dancing tinted moisturiser.  It contains a SPF20, anti ageing complex, 24hr hydration and auto adjusting formula with micro pigments. I will be doing a full post soon but have already repurchased this.

No7 Perfect and protect serum £23.95 -30ml available at Boots
My daily anti ageing serum that delivers actual results that I have seen.  See full post here love this product made a huge difference to my fine lines.

Now on to Mascara's there are three in this post of which there is only one that I would re purchase and that is the Boots No7 Mascara as I love the wand.

Estee Lauder Double wear volume and lift mascara £21.00 available here
Don't get me wrong this is not a terrible mascara and I actually like the wand alot but for the price I kinda like my high street Maybelline mascara's as don't see that much difference in quality.  This is a very black mascara and gives lots of volume to the lashes.

No7 Extreme length waterproof mascara £10.00 available here
Love the brush on this mascara it is a flexi slim rubber one gives could definition and length with no smudging.  Even better when you use your £3 off coupon with it and I would repurchase it.

Lancome Hypnose waterproof mascara - custom wear volume £22.50
I purchased this when it was on offer for £10 and I have to say I don't like the brush on this mascara at all so I am glad it only cost me £10 it is just too thick for my lashes and does not catch them all. Overall quite disappointing this mascara.

Max Factor colour expert waterproof liner £6.99 available here
This goes on really easily and does not budge once dry at all.  If your are looking for a long lasting liquid eyeliner this is definitely worth a look in.

N07 stay precise eye liner -Discontinued
I really did not like this product as it dried out really quickly and just was not black enough when applied you needed several coats to get it black enough.  Good job it is discontinued.

Maybelline Brow dram in Dark brown £4.99 available here
A good eye brow gel the brush takes some getting used to as it is unusual but overall a good product for larger or thicker brows.  Adds some definition but very natural looking on.

Last up is these two candles which are just both Gorgeous and I will be buying replacements The White company produce the best candles which are just heavenly this one Seychelles just smells of the Caribbean sea just lush available here it has a lovely coconut smell one of my favourites.  Also I have the Copenhagen candle company Mint and Eucalyptus candle when ever I see this in TK Maxx I always snap it up as they are great quality candles for bargain prices.

What have you been using up this month?

L'OREAL BROW ARTIST PLUMPER IN DARK BRUNETTE

I have quite full brows so for me it is essential to have a brow gel in my makeup kit.  I have used and tried quite a few different ones over the past couple of years and this was the latest one I tried.  From L'Oreal it is the dark brown shade and claims to volumize and intensify your brows whilst keeping them in place.  It comes in three shades blonde, dark brunette and transparent so not a lot of choice, I have the dark brunette shade which is good for me.  The brush is a small precision like, which applies just the right amount of product evenly through the brows.  The formula is tinted to allow colour enhancing and shaping of brows with out being to full on and it plumps the hairs at the same time.  I would say it holds them in good position without being sticky or crusty in finish and adds extra definition to the hairs in your brows making them look fuller.  I like the fact it is easy to apply and looks natural on while also enhancing my brow this is a winner for me!

The L'Oreal Brow artist plumber is £5.99 and available here

TOPSHOP EYESHADOW IN EXPLORER

Look how pretty is this eye shadow a lovely burgundy shade with a hint of glitter in it from Topshop. This is really pretty on especially with a dark base underneath as you have a hint of glitter within it.  It looks really good with a Maybelline color tattoo eyeshadow underneath in choc suede (96) or a Mac paint pot like constructivist, which also gives it longer staying power.  This eyeshadow is part of the mono shadow range and they really have done a great job there are 4 different shades in the mono range all having galactic names.  I would say this is a satin type finish to it as it has a overall shine to the eyeshadow.  This is really pigmented with a lovely rust red base to it I find it blends really nice and easy I just use a brown eye liner pencil to add extra definition around the eye.

The Topshop makeup mono eye shadows are £5 and available here

CLARINS INSTANT CONCEALER IN 02 REVIEW

Concealer is right up their at the top of my list of essential makeup items and something I use on a daily basis  to create the perfect base.  Two things that I look for in a good concealer are good coverage and longevity.  Recently I have been a bit disloyal to my Nars concealer and cheating on it with this Clarins Instant concealer because it is just so good.  Well what can I say about this concealer apart from the fact I love it a lot it is creamy, long lasting and does not dry out my skin.  It lasts all day and has a medium coverage which you can build to full coverage very easily.  I find it is great if you have fine lines like me around the eye area because it does not highlight them and covers them well without looking cakey .  I have been using shade 02 which is really great match for my skin tone however I do think they could expand on the shade range of only 3 shades some people may find it difficult to make a match.  The concealer comes in a generous 15g of product for £21.00 in a tube packaging which I then pop it on the back of my hand and use a Real techniques dome shadow brush.  I know this has been now out a little while but if you have not checked it out it is definitely worth a look out!  It now has a prime place within my makeup bag.

Have you tried the clarins concealer?

TOPSHOP LIPSTICK IN PARTITION

I love Topshop's lipsticks as they are so creamy and pigmented and a great price at £8  They tick every box as far as I am concerned cute packaging, great product and easily available.  This shade Partition is a pinky red as you can see such a pretty colour and lasts a good length of time on.  I have been using a No7 liner in Raspberry to go with it to give it even more lasting power and give my lips a bit of added definition.

Have you tried any Topshop lipsticks?

KIKO QUICK DRY NAIL LAQUER IN 813 MARRONE PERLATO

Well this weeks nail post features this little pot of polish I picked up from Kiko now I can't even pronounce the name of the thing Marrone Perlato or otherwise known as #813.  This comes from the quick dry nails range which has at least 20 shades I would say and it was on offer for £2.99 so I thought happy days.  This looks like such a amazing rich tone colour in the bottle and on the nails it is like a dark bronze with very fine glitter within it. The applicator is a nice wide brush and it applies well and even you could even get away with just one coat due to the richness in colour.  So on I popped it on to my nails last week.  Then fast forward 24hrs and already it has started to chip very disappointing meaning I had to redo my nails.  I have used quite a few kiko polishes before out of the core range an all have been excellent maybe this is a one off? especially as I use Sech Vite Top coat normally a polish would last days if not a week.

Anyone else tried these polishes?  Would be interested to know if it is just this shade or the whole range?

THE DUPE BOOTS NO7 BB LIPS IN BALERINA

Now I am not going to lie we all love a dupe I am one of the first to check out products that give the same effect as a high end product if it will cost me less money.  So here I present the No7 BB lips beauty balm which is a all in one product a lip balm with 3 benefits colour, nourishment and UV protection with SP15.  They come in 7 different shades and are super smooth and hydrating on the lips.  When I first put this on I thought this reminds me of something then a couple of days later I was using my Clarins instant light natural perfector and that's when I realised how similar these two products are and it is definitely inspired by it.  Now I got this in a Christmas gift set but they retail at £9 compare to £18 for the Clarins it is half price and if you are savy there is always a offer on No7 so could picked it up a bit cheaper.   I would say this is a really similar to shade 3 from Clarins and essentially have the same  finish when on the lip.

Whats your favourite lip product?

SO SIMPLE NAILS BY BOOTS NO7

Sometimes all you need or want is a nice simple nude polish on your nails.  I picked up this one with my £3 off voucher recently in Boots making it only £3 bargain!.  Colour wise it is quite a tan nude with a hint of shimmer in it which basically just gives it a nice sheen it goes great against my skin tone which is medium.  I think it potentially could be to tan against fair skins but I love it topped with some Seche top coat this lasted a whopping 7 days before there was any chipping of it!

Have you tried any of the boots No7 nail polishes?

KIKO CUSTOM INFINITY CLICK SYSTEM PALETTE

I am a huge fan of both kiko cosmetics and eye shadow palettes so when I stumbled upon a palette you could customise like the Mac ones at a fraction of the price I was jumping with joy.  If you have not heard of kiko cosmetics they are a Italian company who make fashion driven makeup at affordable prices.  Over the past two years they have been slowly popping up on the high street if you don't have one near you they have a great online store.

They have a great eye shadow range called infinity eyeshadows with 96 different shades yep that's right 96! which range from matt to shimmering neutrals to brights basically there is something for everyone.  The shadows come in a good size and pigmentation wise are really good they are very buttery and creamy and blend really nicely and are long lasting.  Now on to palettes it is unto you what size you choose they come in 1,3,4,9 or the big 24, I picked the 3 size as I wanted something I could use on the go in my handbag then you literally pick which shadows you want to fill it with.  The shadows come with a separate lid on them which you take off so easy and then click into the palette, they also come with handy duplicate stickers of shade numbers so you can see what colours you have easily.

I picked up shades 214, 217 and 243 as I wanted predominately matt everyday shades as this is something I don't have much off and I have to say I love all 3 shades they work really nicely together as a trio to top it all of it due to the current promo this whole palette came in at just over a tenner bargain!

THE NAIL ENIGMA BY SEPHORA

As by now you will all no that I love a nail polish and I wanted to share with you my latest addition to my collection.  So if you are looking for a polish to brighten up your winter day then look no further than this beautiful emerald green from Sephora called Enigma. Part of the Formula X range this polish is just the right shade of pearlescent green which shines bright and just looks fab on.  When ever I  get the opportunity to pop into a sephora I always make sure that I pick up one of these polishes as the shade range and quality is just spot on and due shipping restrictions these can not be shipped from the online store to the UK so annoying!  Just a thing of beauty .........................

Have you tried any of these polishes?
