Once in a while a collection comes along from Mac that I just have to have a piece of no matter how much I end up using it.  As soon as I clapped eyes on the MAC Cinderella collection I knew I had to have a piece and I was really excited for it to launch my inner princess coming out.  Inspired by the new release of the film all products have been packaged in to a pretty iridescent blue just perfect in my opinion.  I think it really fits the brief in terms of packaging something a Disney princess would be proud of.  After initially eyeing up a couple of pieces I wanted to get I tried my luck when it launched online with no avail I was not lucky to get anything but when the collection launched in store last week I managed to pick up one of the few remaining pieces at a Mac counter so I was really happy to get one of my choices!  I know it will be a sold out collection by now but you can still view it online at MAC to see it in all its glory.

Coupe De Chic is a light golden peach with glitter it is just so pretty but could be a bit of a glitter bomb if not applied in the right way.  It has a light texture and is quite sheer on I think it looks great on the top of the cheek bone as a high lighter above blusher and will look even better on a tan in the summer.  You would definitely not want to use this as a overall powder as you would find it too glittery I am just going to stick to using it as a highlighter.

Did you pick anything up from the collection?

I don't know about you but sometimes I like to give my skin a little break from makeup and let it breathe and on those days this is my go to product.  Miracle skin care cream ( a big claim to live up to) by Garnier is a all singing all dancing product that gives my skin the boost it needs when I want to be makeup free.  It is a moisturiser that comes out the tube white then when you rub your hands together the micro pigments causes it to change colour like a BB cream and then adjusts to your skin tone so is suitable for everyone.  It is really moisturising and creamy in texture but light weight when on it has no shimmer or sheen but make your skin look radiant, luminous and healthy.  It is a hybrid of anti-ageing, skin perfecting, radiating, bluring and contains a SPF and there is more than I can mention.  What more can you ask for I am kinda obsessed with the finish it leaves and I have already repurchased this! If you suffer from really dry skin try the new version now out here and there is also a matching eye cream which I can't wait to try next here.

Available £12.99 nationwide here currently on offer for £8.99

Kiko cosmetics is fast becoming my favourite makeup brand as you will have seen by some of my other posts.  That's because they have great fashion makeup which is very pigmented and inexpensive.  Today's little beauty I have for you is the long lasting 8 hour eye shadow stick in dark taupe #39.  I have been dreaming / gawping over the By Terry Ombre Backstair eye shadow sticks for a long time but just have not been able justify the price (29.00) so when I spied this dupe from Kiko for only £4.80 as it had 30% off normally £6.90 I did a inner little dance and snapped it straight up into my basket.  The product comes in the standard Kiko plain black packaging in a twist up design very straight forward and easy to use no mess.  It has a creamy formula which makes it easy to blend I find its great to use to do a smokey eye really quickly or on the go all over sweep.  The formula is long lasting and last all day with out streaky or smearing and it sets into place.  Dark taupe is a very dark bonze brown with grey undertone to it goes on really pigmented and not much is needed a little goes a long way, I can see these lasting a long time so a win win all round a great product and definitely gives the By Terry Ombre black star a run for their money! I can't wait to add more shades to my collection from this range.

Kiko long lasting eye shadow stick is available in 32 colours some currently have 30% off here and are well worth the check out!

There are lots of new mascara's that have hit down post Christmas to the drug store / high street market which is exciting well I think so anyway.  I really like Maybellines mascara's with the Rocket being one of my all time favourites (In my Hall of fame).  So when I spied this new Lash sensational mascara that was new out I was doing a little inner jump for joy secretly hoping that it would be a good one!  The brush that comes with it is a plastic small headed one with a rounded dome to it on the one side which fits great into your upper lashes.  The brush has its of small bristles on it which means it picks up all the small tiny eyelashes which is great for me as I have lots of small eyelashes.  The low wax formula which this mascara has gives great definition and volume and the blackest of lashes.  It does not clump or it is not messy it gives immediate impact on your lashes natural and fuller without looking over the top love it this maybe my new favourite mascara.

The Maybelline lash sensational mascara is £7.99 and available here

There are quite a few new mascaras out at the moment and last week you will have seen me review the new Maybelline lash sensation mascara if you did not then click here.  So I have been trying out a few different mascara's today's one is this Rimmel mascara XX-Treme from the scandal eyes series.  Now the wand is plastic with small bristles with one side curved making it a dual style brush.  I have never been a huge fan of the Rimmel mascaras apart from the lash Accelerator mascara due to the brushes being to big for me( I have lots of fine lashes).  So I was excited to try this one as it has a small bristle head, the curved side should give volume and the flat side should lengthen your lashes.  I like the curved side as it fits nicely into the curve of your natural shape of your eye lashes making it comfortable and easy to use my only issue is the amount of product dispensed onto the brush is way to much(see photo).  The colour of this mascara is really very jet black and the formula is very wet maybe a bit to much that you get a lot of product on the brush.  I actually think this will benefit from being opened and almost needs to dry out a little however saying that you don't get any clumps as it is liquidy. Overall I would give this a 7 out of 10 as I feel the Maybelline lash sensation has a edge over it with its formula and they are the same style mascaras.

Rimmel Scandal eyes xx-treme mascara is £6.99 and available here
