THE BEST BLOGGER BUSINESS CARDS

I recently decided to get some new business cards as I was not happy with the last lot I had and wanted some new ones.  Having seen quite a few reviews from different people on Twitter I decided upon using Moo as all the examples I had seen looked really good and looked like what I was looking for.

When you go on to the moo website it is really user friendly and there are lots of different templates and sizes that you can choose from I landed on the little moo cards as I wanted something small and cute.  You don't need to be a artist or need photo shop to use Moo as they have lots of different templates you can use and customise and make your own.  You can literally create anything you want from text only to ones with pictures.

The design I went with was mini cards in All About Ombre in 4 colours I decided I did not want one of the shades in green.  I purchased 100 cards at £12.23 and went with the regular Matt finish and Original paper.  I then proceeded to customised the back with all my info in a font I liked out of the list and decided to have plain fronts so it showed off the ombre colour.  It gives you the option to preview everything before you purchase them so you can double check there are no mistakes.

Moo offers lots of different delivery options from next day to 1 week which vary in cost and time depending upon how quickly you need them I choose delivery between 3-5 days and they came on day 4 .  I also picked up a mini holder as I thought this would be useful for carrying them around and was inexpensive at £3.59 Here and holds 12 cards so good for on the go.

Overall I am really pleased with my new cards and think they look great I have been handing them out all ready and will definitely be reordering some more when these are gone.  The quality is just second to none and I am so glad I went with Moo.

What do you think?

LOOK FANTASTIC AUGUST BEAUTY BOX #LFBEAUTYBOX*

Hi Lovelies hope the weather has not been getting you to down and this may cheer you up like it did to me when it arrived.  If you are not familiar with the concept of beauty boxes there are lots of different Beauty Box's available now a days on subscription and they all follow a similar format where you pay a nominal fee this one is £15 and then you receive a 5/6 mini sized products so you can try them before you spurge out.   The August box is worth £55 but you only pay £15 so already you know you are getting your money's worth and it is still available to pick up link here and you don't have to commit to a 3 or 6 month like some of the other beauty boxes around. The Look Fantastic box did not disappoint when I opened it as you can see there are so great products to try cosmetics, body and hair.  It is a great way to discover new products you don't know what products you are getting until it arrives.  If you are into hair care this is definitely the box for you.

The first item in the box is a full size of the Rimmel Wonderfull Wake Me Up Mascara in black this has added cucumber and vitamins you could receive any out of the 4 must have Rimmel products and was glad to get this mascara.  It claims to give that wide eye look with lengthening and volume without clumping.  I am interested to see what this is like as not really been a massive fan of Rimmel mascaras due to not liking the wand but I am always looking to try different ones out and have not tried this one before so it will be going in my makeup bag.

Next up is Eve Lom Cleanser a cult classic which is highly acclaimed suitable for all skin types it is a multi purpose balm which comes with a Muslim cloth and removes everything from your skin plus smells lovely this is a really good size in 30ml great for travel.  I really like this product and have used it before so was happy to see it in the box.

Queen of Hungary Mist this was product I was really intrigued to try as I love mists and sprays as you will of seen in previous posts and heard nothing but good things about this spray.  This is a neroli &rose scented face mist which is refreshing and lifts the spirits.  This is a spray toner which purifies and hydrates the skin and has been used for centuries and started with royalty.

Next up is Bellapierre cosmetics shimmer powder this is a lovely white powder really pigmented so you only need a small amount and could be used as a shadow or a highlighter.  It is made from 100% Mica powder and 100% hypoallergenic so good for those of us with sensitive skin types.

The first hair care product is the Beauty Works 10 in 1 miracle spray 50ml now I have never used any of their products so can not wait to try this one as it is meant to be the ultimate in nourishment haircare and mine definitely needs some!  It has lots of benefits a few are the super oils contains Argan, Linen seed and Macadamia and can be used wet or dry so multipurpose.

Last up is by Alterna haircare is a the caviar CC cream 30ml and I have to confess I did not know you could get CC cream for hair who knew?  But apparently CC is the new BB  and it is a complete correction cream that has 10 benefits but only 1 easy step to use after washing your hair before styling apply.  I can't wait to try the hair products as my hair could really use some TLC.

Overall a great box what do you think of August Look Fantastic Beauty Box?  Have you tried any of these products?

BIG BLOGGERS CONFERENCE

Hi lovelies today I bring you a slightly different post on Saturday I went to the Big Bloggers Conference at the Hotel Russell in London organised by the lovely three girls at LDNMeetup and I had a amazing day.  I met up with the lovely Stacy from MissStacyP check out her blog if you don't already and we had loads of fun and learnt a lot.  In the morning there was a series of workshops were I picked up lots of hints and Tips and then in the afternoon there was a brand exhibition and a opportunity to meets some lovely brands.

The day kicked off with a series of workshops starting with Pinterest 101with the lovely Elizabeth Sellers  UK Pinterest Ambassador, then on to Jasmin Charlotte who talked about Tech & SEO and lastly  Sarah Moody talked about how to make more from your blog.  All three ladies were fab and I could of listen to them for hours longer!

I picked up some really great hints and tips throughout the workshops so I thought I would share my top ones for those of you who could not make it on Saturday.

My Tips

1. Pinterest is something that I have been getting into recently but I can see where I was not using it to its total Potential.  First thing to do if you already are a member is to make sure you have a business account this allows you access to lots of useful tools and information

2. Use Pinterest to Showcase your tastes and what you like in a visual way so it is like a extension of your brand.

3. Make sure your descriptions are as meaty as possible as people generally use the search button to navigate through the site this means optimum chance of being repined.

4. A couple of things that stuck in my mind were do a site audit on your blog using Nibbler it tells you whats wrong and how to fix it.

5. How important SEO is and the positive / negative effect of links.

Here are a few Pics of some of the Lovely brands that took part in the Brand Exhibition they were all amazing and such a pleasure to meet and discuss their brands.

The Overall day was Fab and the girls behind @LDNmeetup did a fantastic Job Organising everything along with all the lovely brands I met who were amazing.  They even sent us home with a lovely generous gift bag!

Thanks for reading!

BUDGET GUIDE TO STROBING

Have you heard about this new trend Strobing? its the new contouring trend that has been everywhere recently but in a nut shell its highlighting.  Forget all about contouring as its all about having dewy, shimmery and glowey skin.  This is actually a much easier trend to master than contouring as we all know took a while to get to grips with.  The important thing to remember is to use a highlighter that is appropriate to your skin tone for example pale skin use a champagne highlighter olive a more golden tone and dark a terracotta  tone.  The second thing to remember is to only apply the highlighter where the sun would natural catch the light for example cheek bones, temple, bridge of the nose and below the brow bone.  My Top tip is to keep all the other products you apply to the skin Matt and then only have shimmer in your highlighter which will mean you will not go crazy shinny face.  This Palette from makeup revolution is a great budget by to create this look as it has three different highlighters in the palette which are creamy, lightweight and buildable.  I use a mixture  of the middle and end colours and build them up until I have the desired look.  At £8 it is a great introduction to highlighting and you can create a day time wearable look.

Have you tried strobing?

REKINDLING MY LOVE FOR NAKED PALETTE

Well there has been lots of talk about the new Urban Decay Naked Smokey palette as it was released last week and it got me thinking about my Naked palette I already had.  I have the Urban Decay Naked palette 2 which is considered the lesser of the the three / four if you are including the new one.  It first came out in 2011 but I actually got this after it had come out, while I had gone to get palette No3 which was out of stock and ended up with this one.  It is a mixture of matt, shimmer and micro glitters with 12 shades in total all of a neutral taupe based colour tone with the double end brush included.  It comes in a tin packaging like a pencil case with a snap close and mirror included so it is actually handy for travel and does not get dirty or damaged.  Since the news of the new smokey palette I have been rediscovering this palette as it had got a little way layed and my current favourites are Half Baked a gold shimmery shade, Snake Bite a bronze shimmery shade and Booty Call which I have been using as a brow highlighter to create that strobing look.  There are a couple of other stand out shades in this palette Black Out which is good as a liner due how deep black it is and Busted is great for creating a really smokey eye for evening.  All the shades are really creamy and blend really well which is why they are so popular.

Available nationwide at £38.00 at the moment there is 10%off Feel Unique here

Whats your favourite palette ?

ESTEE LAUDER DAY WEAR SHEER TINT MOISTURIZER

This is a product that comes out of the bathroom cupboard every summer or holiday depending upon my level of tan or not.  I was first introduced to this product after watching a video / tutorial from Pixiwoo and it has become a staple item of my makeup bag.  I have to say the name of this product is far too long DayWear Multi-protection Anti-Oxidant sheer tint release moisturiser wow see it is super long!

Now I have dry skin and think this is really a great product for dry skin as it is super hydrating leaves a healthy glow, evens the skin tone and it super light weight on.  It gives a really light coverage and has SPF 15 so it is great for summer time but it only comes in one shade and no good for lighter tones I would definitely say for medium/ olive skin tone.  It contains anti-oxidants which are meant to help fight the damage and premature signs of ageing which is always a good thing when you hit your thirties.  It comes out white with grey speckles and has micro particles of tint and when you blend it the colour appears.  If I want more coverage I use it to prime the skin first then apply a foundation and keeps the glow still or I wear on its own with a concealer.

Available nationwide at Estee Lauder for £40.00 click here
