FLEUR DE FORCE LIP GLOSS IN STARRY NIGHT

FLEUR DE FORCE STARRY NIGHT SWATCHES

Hey lovelies hope we are doing well on this Payday Friday can't believe it is the end of October! Today I bring you swatches and a review of this Lipgloss or I think more of a liquid lipstick from Youtuber Fleur De Force  I am always super cautious when a Youtuber  brings out a makeup range as will it actually be any good and worth getting?  But having seen swatches of the products on Fleur's channel first before release combined with the fact I had a voucher for Feel unique it seemed a match made in heaven.

Now technically this is a lip gloss but I think it is more of a liquid lipstick as it is way more pigmented and a little thicker than a gloss.  I really like lipsticks and lip glosses but don't really own that many liquid lipsticks and at £6.99 this is a really reasonable price so picked this up!  I choose the shade Starry Starry Night a gorgeous berry shade perfect for autumn.

FLEUR DE FORCE STARRY NIGHT SWATCHES

As you can see from my swatch it is a pretty berry deep pink shade, very glossy, very rich and pigmented in colour but not too sticky when its on the lips .  It lasts a good couple of hours no more or less than hughstreet / drug store brands and is really lovely consistency.   I have to say for a first collection I really like this and will definitely checking out other shades!

Have you tried any of the Fleur De Force lipglosses ?

MY DUTY FREE HAUL

DUTY FREE HAUL PHOTOS

Hey Lovelies today I bring you a haul from my recent trip to Cancun Mexico.  Now I don't know about you but every time I go away It is a kinda of a excuse for a splurge in Duty Free at the airport on beauty products as they are generally a lot cheaper! Now I picked up four products in total in duty free on this trip three skin care and one makeup all of which I made big savings on!

First up the lovely Estee Lauder day wear which you will have seen me talk about before on the blog.  My current tube had practically run out and it is a must have for me when I am on holiday as it is really hydrating but also gives a small amount of coverage this is normally £40 but I got it for £32.  Then I picked up from Clarins a travel exclusive set this means you can only purchase it in duty free & airports and travel places.  This was the make up removing mini trio which has a cleanser, toner and the fabulous waterproof eye makeup remover.  At £16 this means each bottle is just over £5 and as I travel quite a bit I thought this was a great little set.  I would get lots of use out of this set due to the sizes of the bottles as they can be used in carry on.  This trio comes in two skin care types I got the Normal to dry skin as I have dry skin the other is for oily combo skin.

Next up two items from Chanel (love love love Chanel) the first is the Hydra Beauty Micro Serum a intensive serum with micro droplets of camellia now I had been eyeing this up since it came out and knew I wanted to pick this up as I would make a considerable saving buying it in duty free this retails normally for about £66 and I saved £15 buying this in duty free which is a lot!  Yes I know that is quite a bit of money on one product but so far I can say it has been totally worth it and will report back once I have been using it a while longer!  Next up and last I repurchased one of my favourite foundations which is Vitalumiere Aqua foundation I wear shade 30 this is one of the lightest natural looking foundations, good colour match and lasts really well all day.  It works well on dry and my sensitive skin so absolutely love it!

Do you ever splurge at Duty Free ? What do you like to buy?

TRAVEL SIZED PRODUCTS A.K.A MINIS

Trade Sized products

Hey Lovelies Today on the blog we are talking about miniature sized products or minis as I fondly call them.  I like minis for two reasons firstly they are a great way to try out a new product without committing to something you may not like and secondly for travel as then you can take your favourite beauty, hair or skincare items with you but not weigh down your luggage because let's face it we always want to take loads of products with us when we go away.  This month I have been travelling and to Mexico and it made me think about what are my favourite miniature sized products!  I think there are more available now then before and brands re now producing most best sellers in minute size.

Now I get my minis in three different ways first up through Subscription boxes my favourite is the Look Fantastic boxes where for £15 a box you get at least 6 miniature sized products of some highend products so work out great value for money and if you do your research you can select the box which has the most benefit.  For example last months look fantastic birthday box was all about hair which for me was great as I needed miniature hair products for my holiday.

The other way I procure my minis is when I purchase large size products from major brands like Clarins I do it strategically when they have 'gift' on so again I pick and choose my favourites that I use in regularly size but get them in small sizes.   Or if I am just purchasing one product I always ask for samples of others because most large counters stock samples if you don't ask you don't get! most of the time I pick up at least one or two samples.

Last up if I am short of a category then I purchase them from either my local supermarket e.g Asda have a good selection most of the year around or I get some from feel unique as they have a really good selection of higher end products in miniature sized.  You could alternatively decant your full size products but as I travel quite a bit I find it easier to purchase miniature sizes of products.

Do you use travel size products? If so which ones are your favourites?

URBAN DECAY SMOKY PALETTE FIRST IMPRESSIONS

Hey lovelies today I bring a first impressions of the Urban Decay Naked Smoky palette which was released back in August.  Now I already have Naked palette 2 which I really like and when this was released I thought it looked interesting but held off initially.  It was not until I was up close and personal with this palette and got to swatch it and see its full glory I decided I really wanted it in my life.  At £38.00 it is a purchase I debated upon, read lots of reviews and finally gave into when I saw it in real life.  Deciding I did not really have a palette like it in my collection already I took the plunge and purchased it.  The palette features a equal amount of matt, glitter, shimmer, warm and cool shades 12 in total which is why I can see how it is popular.  As you can literally create any smoky look day or night it is really that versatile.  It comes in a hard plastic case in grey smoky translucent pattern with a magnetic closure to keep shut.  I really like the fact this is a study case harder to damage and better for travel it also comes with a duo ended brush which is a really good and soft brush for blending.

The shadows are everything you expect from Urban Decay Velvety, creamy, blendable and seriously pigmented I think the formulas are slightly different from Naked 2 slightly drier but not massively noticeable you do also get a lot less fall out as a result.  Out of the 12 shades 9 are new shades with only Radar, Amour and Black Market making a reappearance which is good.  So far my favourites in the palette are from the shimmer / glitter shades are in High "champagne shimmer", Smoulder "deep plum" & Dirty Sweet "medium bronze".  In the matts Combust is a really great crease shade for me as is a good neutral "soft pink" shade along with Whiskey a "rich tone brown".

Have you ever bought a product and then get home and realise you don't know what to do with it well with this palette you don't have to worry as included is a step by step detailed guide on how to create four different smoky eyes from day to night what a great idea!  I can't wait to see all the different looks I can create with this palette and what a lovely palette it is.

Whats your favourite Urban Decay palette?

KEEPING ORGANISED : THE PERSONALISED TOAD DIARY*

Hey lovelies today I share with you my ways of how I keep organised.  Being a blogger and working full time means that you have to juggle a lot of plates at the same time which can be either really successful or a disaster zone.  So how to I do it? I use a personalised Toad Diary*

Now in order to juggle both full time work and a blogger you need to plan and there are lots of tools to help you do this.  My diary which as you can see is a personalised Toad diary* is what helps me stay ahead of the game and really organised.  I have always used diaries and lists to keep organised over the years and when it comes to blogging it is no different.   Why choose a Toad Diary? Because they do customised diaries with notepads integrated into so you have the best of both worlds, where I can store my notes, lists and plan all together.  Plus how pretty is this design there are lots more designs to choose from. This is the Quarto size but it comes in A4 and A5 as well and there are many styles to choose from so you can get exactly what you need.  This diary helps me to schedule my posts, planing what goes live & when and organising any events I am going to.  Best of all I was able to customised the diary to start when I wanted to mid year and it could not of been a more easier processes to order taking less than 5 minutes total with super fast delivery it came in 3 days.

How do you stay organised? Do you use a diary?

TANYA BURR COSMETICS LUNCH DATE LIP GLOSS

Hi lovelies today I bring you a review of the delightful Youtuber Tanya Burrs Lip gloss £5.99 in Lunch date from Feel Unique.  Now when they first launched into the beauty world I was a bit apprehensive as I really like watching Tanya's videos on Youtube for a good few years now but thought they were more aimed for her younger subscribers and they were limited to only lips and nails at the time.  After the success of her first range they have been repackaged and rereleased and the range has expanded past the original lips and nails to include eyeshadows, brows and lashes.

When I saw the new release of her cosemetics I thought I would give them a try as I have heard good things about the original products.  The packaging is much better than the original each gloss comes in a clear tube with gold accents and a heart on the lid more classic and appealing to any age.

The first thing you notice when you open this gloss is the scent it smells like watermelons in a fruity not overpowering good way.  The gloss is easy to apply with a doe foot applicator it gives just the right amount of gloss.  The colour is a peachy nude and delivers just the right amount of pigment without being to opaque.  The gloss has just the right consistency not to sticky or too thin wear time is average around 3/4hours.  I like to wear it over one of my many Mac lip liners to give the perfect nude lip.

Have you tried any of the Tanya burr lip glosses ?

AUGUST / SEPTEMBER EMPTIES PART 2

Hey lovelies today I bring you empties post part 2 if you missed the first part all about hair click here todays post is all about skin care empties from August & September.  If you regularly read my blog you will know by now I am a avid french skin care advocate which is quite apparent from my empties.  so here we go ...

Boots No7 Protect and Perfect Serum £23.95

This has been a staple in my skin care regime for quite some time as it has proven anti ageing results which I have to say I have seen results from and will continue to use this full review here.

Caudalie Beauty Elixir £11.50

One of my favourite facial sprays I have been using for years it is both calming and relaxing and refreshing.  It has lots of essential oils with a fruity yet refreshing mint scent more info here

La Roche Posay Respectissime

A great waterproof eye makeup remover from another french brand I picked this as a twin pack in france and have been impressed.  It is a bio phase style makeup remover where you mix the two together before using, it is mild and works well on waterproof mascara.

La Roche Posay Serozinc spray £8.50

Another staple in my skin care kit as this is great for the days when you have problem skin as it just keeps your skin on the right track a must in any skin care kit.

Bioderma Sensibio H20 £10.20

You will have seen this lots of times on here before as I always keep this in stock in my skincare kit a cult classic micelle solution for makeup removing.

La Roche Posay Thermal spring water spray £4.00

Yep another facial spray I know I am obsessed with hydration.  I love this for in the summer for keeping my skin hydrated.  This is a travel size that is great for holidays or for the handbag.

BALANCE ACTIVE FORMULA HYDRATING BODY LOTION*

Hey lovelies todays post is all about moisturiser, now I have been doing body prep for the last two weeks to get ready for my holiday to Cancun Mexico (whoop whoop).  Now when it comes to moisturising my body I can be a little lazy or I start aiming to do it daily and then forget so any product I can use to speed this Process up or help the dry skin is a winner in my eyes.  Some of you may have seen my post a while back on spray moisturisers before and I think they are a great concept and a easy way to moisturise.

Balance Active Formula is a brand you may of heard or seen before they are high performance products with realistic prices available online at Beauty and the bunch.  This is the spray body lotion I have been using non stop this month in the fight for supple soft skin and have seen great results with and wanted to share with you my thoughts.  There are two different formulas both £5.49 available in hydrating and nourishing this is the Hydrating spray body lotion* which has added hyaluronic acid and coconut oil.

This is really simple to use you literally spray from a short distance away from the skin lightly rub in and then it is dry in about 2 mins so you are ready to go that simple.  I use this in the morning after showering spray and I am ready to dress 2 minutes later having fully moisturised, it is not greasy and fast absorbing into the skin.  The smell reminds me of holidays with the coconut scent without being over the top so got me right in the holiday mood.

Let me know what you think do you like spray moisturisers?

AUGUST / SEPTEMBER EMPTIES PART 1

Hey lovelies today I bring you my empties from the last two months.  Now this is one of my favourite posts to read as a lover of blogs myself as it tells me truly what people have used or a good opinion on a product.  I have split this into two posts otherwise it is to long as I have used up so many products.  So here we go first up is hair now I really like this range of shampoos and conditioners from Garner called Ultimate Blends as it keeps my hair fairly sleek with minimal effort I think this is the third or fourth time I have repurchased these (Review here) and will continue to do so.

Next up is this facial cleanser from a french skin care brand called Uriage which specialises in skincare for people with sensitive or skin conditions.  I use this daily in the shower for that double / triple cleanse this huge 400ml bottle is less than €15 and last me about 6 months so I always stock up when in France as I am yet to find a UK stockist.

Now I am sure you will have seen this next item a few times before on the blog it is the Palmolive honey and milk shower milk, love this and have repurchased it numerous times I have stopped counting.  It featured in my favourites for September here have a read if you have not already done so.  Hands up if you find moisturising your body a chore well  I am always looking for the quickest and easiest ways to do this and one of those is to use a in shower moisturiser and these are two are both from Nivea.  Both work in the exact same way only difference is one is meant to firm the other is nourishing to be honest I did not see any difference between the two only the firming one has little burst beads inside but they are really moisturising.  I am already on my next bottle of the nourishing one as part of my holiday skin care prep as we speak it is the ultimate laziest way to moisturise.

Now on to Hair styling now these are my current three favourite products to use on my hair first up we have the garner blends sleek perfector oil which is coconut oil based style protector which helps it stay sleek( review here).  Next up I spray this product on to my hair before drying it is from Label M (Tony &Guy) and it is a protein spray this was recommended by my hairdresser as I have dip dye hair.  You may ask what is a protein spray but the idea is it adds moisture, protects against heat evens the pores out in your hair and then protects against UV rays.  Last up when my hair is dry I then spray the Markhill Anti Humidity spray due to the ever changing weather in London this stops the hair from getting to wind swept when out and about.

What have you been mostly using this month?

MY MAC PRO EYESHADOW PALETTE

Hey lovelies today I bring you what is currently residing in my Mac pro eyeshadow quad palette.  Now I actually have two of the 15 slot eyeshadow pro palettes and I rotate into the quad what I am using as they are easier to carry around you can't carry a 15 pan palette.  Now Mac eye shadows are highly pigmented, creamy easy to apply and blend, they have a lot of shades so lovely yes I really like them!  One of the great things about these pro palettes is they are fully customisable so you can create a palette or a combo.  They fit altogether with the magnetic backs.  As you can see I have 4 neutralish shades at current and have been using this combo for about two months now and really loving the looks I can create.  From top row left to right Amber lights & Mulch and then on the bottom row left to right MythologyHonesty.

First up is Amber lights it has a frost finish to it meaning it has sheen of shimmer and this one is a warm peach gold shade.  Mulch is a velvet finish so nice and creamy bronze brown with golden undertone to it looks like it should be more glitter on but does not.  In the bottom row you have mythology a lustre finish in a pinky medium copper & then lastly honesty which is a light brown with glitter in it.  I have really been enjoying a combination of all four of these shades in particular mulch and amber lights as they really compliment each other.  I know that next few weeks I will be switching it up a bit as I am on holiday and getting a tan.

What is you favourite Mac eyeshadow?

SEPTEMBER FAVOURITES

Hey Lovelies hope you are well today I bring you my September favourites so I have thrown together  what products I have been loving this month and thought I would show you.

Now you may have seen this a few times before on here, I can't remember but it has been a favourite for a good while know the Palmolive Milk and Honey shower gel.   This is from the naturals range which there are 9 different ones this is the milk and honey which has added aloe vera.  It is super hydrating due to the milk formula not drying on the skin and it has a sweet smell I just love it.  It has been a true staple in my shower I think I must have bought dozens of bottles of this by now.

Skin care wise I have been really liking this Balance Active Formula Hyaluronic moisturiser £6.99 it proves that you don't have to spend a ton of money necessarily to get good skin care products this is definitely my budget pick.  It is really light weight non greasy when applied it dries very quickly it is super hydrating due to the fast acting formula which also has anti ageing properties.  If you have not heard of Balance Active they are definitely worth checking out in your local savers.

So far I have been really liking this concealer from Urban Decay I picked this up at the beginning of the month this is in shade medium light having seen lot of hype about this product I decided to give it a whirl.  A liquid formula with a doe foot applicator it has high coverage and so far so good I think it is more grey/ cool toned that my usual concealers which now the summer has gone I can see it will be good for winter.

Next up on the eyes I have been wearing these two shades most days and they are from my Big Mac palette hence the single pans.  These are Mulch and Amber Lights two gorgeous colours that really compliment each other.  Mulch is a bronze brown with a gold undertone to it which when applied is a medium velvet finish.  Amber lights is a Copper/peach tone gold colour with shimmer it is really pretty on and works really well with Mulch.

On the nails this month is my first foray into Youtubers cosmetics it has been from the lovely Tanya Burr Cosmetics  nail polish in Duvet day which is a lovely dove grey shade this is the first polish I have bought from this range and overall I was impressed I just wish they had a wider round ended brush as I like this instead of the small brush it has.  Overall the colour and longevity of the polish is on par with any high street cosmetic brand.

Last up was another item from the Tanya burr cosmetics range and this time it was a Lip gloss in Lunch date a lovely nude shade which cells amazing of watermelons.  This was a shade that was in the original range and just been repackaged and I have to say I like the new packaging.  I having been really enjoying this shade great for every day really natural on or great over a nude lip pencil.

What have your favourite products been this month?
