RiRi BY RIHANNA EAU DE PERFUME REVIEW*

RiRi BY RIHANNA EAU DE PERFUM REVIEW

RiRi by Rihanna* is the first fragrance I have tried from the Rihanna range of perfumes there are 6 in total and this is the newest release having been released in September 2015.  Now when I think about what a Rhianna fragrance would be like I think it should be fun, flirty with an edge to it just like she is.  Lets talk about the packaging first it comes in a black, pink and gold box with textured ridging on the side like the lid.  It has a gold bottom and then pink logo and top.  The same style is emulated with the bottle design, it is a sleek luxurious looking clear glass bottle with a pinky purple coloured scent.  Topped with a gold ball top and black ridged neck it finishes off the style of the bottle. It would look really pretty on any dressing table as the pink is a such a pretty hue.

RiRi BY RIHANNA EAU DE PERFUM REVIEW

The fragrance has a floral and fruity scent, which is really feminine unfortunately you can't get smell o vision so I will do my best to describe the scent.  When you first spray the perfume it is sweet and fruity and then you can smell passion fruit & Orange.   As well it has a floral and wood undertone to the scent so really girly and feminine and lasts through out the day.  When it comes to scents I always go for sweet and fruit scents so this makes a nice addition to my collection.  The celebrity fragrance market has boomed in the last few years and become more and more popular, offering some really credible fragrances this is one of them.  Fragrances always smell different on everyone but if you like girly fruity floral fragrances this could be the one for you.  The fragrance comes in three different sizes 30ml £23, 50ml £30 and 100ml £40  and is available nationwide.

Have you tried any of Rhianna's fragrances?

BARRY M SPEEDY NAIL PAINT SPRING 2016 COLLECTION*

BARRY M SPEEDY NAIL PAINT SPRING 2016 COLLECTION

Hey lovelies today I bring you another nails post from one of my favourite high street brands Barry M, the first you saw last week.  Which was the new shades from the Gelly range and now another new SS16 launch new shades for the Speedy Range.  You will all know I have been wearing Barry M nail polishes for years and you will have seen one of my all time favourite nail paints Speedy Grey which I have used bottles of so many I can't count on the blog before.  For spring 2016 they have added 4 new shades, I wanted to share with you all to expand the already 20+ shades in the current range.

BARRY M SPEEDY NAIL PAINT SPRING 2016 COLLECTION

From L - R you have Personal Best a dusty mauve shade and Freestyle a dusty pink shade.

BARRY M SPEEDY NAIL PAINT SPRING 2016 COLLECTION

From L - R you have In a flash a very light pastel pink shade and then wining streak a soft beige pastel.  I have swatches them all below using 2 coats of each colour as you can see they leave a good level of finish.

BARRY M SPEEDY NAIL PAINT SPRING 2016 COLLECTION

These are all great shades and I would say they are all pastel shades but some great new additions to the current range.  I love these nail paints and they dry so quick they literally take a minute or two to dry, which if you are impatient like me they are great.  I really pleased to see they now sport the wider new flat brush making application more seamless.  My favourite shade at current is wining streak a great pastel beige.  At £3.95 these are available at Superdrug and Boots.

URBAN DECAY GWEN STEFANI EYE PALETTE REVIEW AND SWATCHES

URBAN DECAY GWEN STEFANI PALETTE REVIEW AND SWATCHES

Hey lovelies today's post I bring you all about the second palette I have been loving this last month the first one was from Zoeva Rose Gold palette and then there is this gorgeous number from the Gwen Stefani Urban Decay range.  As soon as I saw this palette I knew I wanted in my collection as it it just really beautiful from inside to outside.  So we all know that Gwen Stafani teamed up with the fabulous people at Urban Decay and I think this is their first celeb collaboration that I have seen or can recall the brand doing and what a collaboration!  Together they have created a range of products which are being released in two phases from what I know so far first came this eye shadow palette and then the blush palette, lipsticks, lip pencils and brow products.

URBAN DECAY GWEN STEFANI PALETTE REVIEW AND SWATCHES

First up lets talk about the packaging the case it self is pretty impressive and comes in this very study weighted hard case that shuts with a bang (I love the feel of this packaging it feels really luxury).  It has been designed to incorporate Gwen's love of black and white with graphics prints and a touch of gold thrown in, which I love and feel is very Gwen.  On the outside it has been designed to look like a empty palette with just a simple gold logo on it, then when you open it up it has 15 fabulous eye shadows set inside.  I love the huge mirror that you have inside as it is the full size of the palette and has the inscription "Magic in the Makeup" imprinted on to it.   Now their are 15 eye shadows 12 new ones and 3 re promotes from the permanent range.  Gwen has named all the new shadows in the palette by names they reflect her songs for example Steady and Pop.

URBAN DECAY GWEN STEFANI PALETTE REVIEW AND SWATCHES
URBAN DECAY GWEN STEFANI PALETTE REVIEW AND SWATCHES

As you can see there is a good mix of Matt and shimmer shades within the palette giving a good balance of textures and finnishes.  The palette is neutral based with a few pops of colour this palette I am sure will appeal to a lot of different people.  My Current favourites have been Pop, Punk and 1987 my only gripe would be there are a couple of shades when blended out are very similar for example skimp, bath water and blonde are only marginally different in tone.  Overall I really like this palette and have got a lot of use out of it so far!

Do you own anything from Urban Decay Gwen Collaboration?

BARRY M GELLY HIGH SHINE SPRING 2016 COLLECTION

As you can see these are four great new shades to add to the collection which are good everyday colours.  All of these come with the great wide brush so easy application which helps you give a smooth finish.  They are quick to dry, long lasting and I only needed two coats to get the shade.

ZOEVA ROSE GOLD PALETTE REVIEW AND SWATCHES

ZOEVA ROSE GOLD PALETTE REVIEW AND SWATCHES

Hey lovelies today I bring you a review and swatches of one of my current favourite eye shadow palettes which you will have seen in my January Favourites it has been a fight between two palettes.  It is this beautiful palette from Zoeva cosmetics which I picked up last month having used it through out January here are my thoughts.   This is the Rose gold edition there are several different palettes available around 12 in different sizes, but this one caught my eye.  I have had a obsession with Rose gold on Pinterest and thought this would be a great palette to add to my collection a bit different to what I currently have.  Now I decided to order this direct from Zoeva as I was buying a brush set as one of mine had died / broken so worked out better value for money this way.  Zoeva is also stocked in the uk by Beauty Bay so you don't have to order direct at £15.50 for 10 eyeshadows it works out at £1.50 a shadow.  Making it super affordable just above high street prices but below high end makeup so what do we think of the quality of these eyeshadows?

ZOEVA ROSE GOLD PALETTE REVIEW AND SWATCHES

The name of the palette clearly gives away what colour theme was going to be arrays and shades of rose gold which has been one popular colour palette in 2015.  The packaging is comes in the rusty copper toned cardboard light weight packaging which houses the eye shadows within slimline and light nothing fussy.  Inside there are 3 matt shades Harmony, Wonderfull and Luster.  Then 7 shimmer shades Foil, Just a Rose, Golden Rule, Rusty Petals, Shinning Bright, coppers King, reflective elegance and Luster. These eyeshadows have to be some of the most pigmented and creamy ones that I own in my collection they blend like a dream there is a small amount of fall down but nothing more than normal but they have amazing stay power!  The palette is Paragon free has no fragrance and no mineral oils in them so good for anyone with more sensitive skins like me I found no irritation or issues when I wore these all day.

ZOEVA ROSE GOLD PALETTE REVIEW AND SWATCHES

The palette has a array of golden and smokey tones varying from brown to a copper rose gold and I  have been enjoying creating copper smokey eyes it is like nothing else really in my collection.  My favourites have to be Copper is King and Rusty petals but I also like Luster as a crease shade for blending and Golden Rule for highlighting around the brow bone.  As I mention they have great staying power lasting all day with little / minimal creasing and you get a lot of shadow for you money this little palette really exceeded my expectations and I love it.  I will definitely be adding more of these Zoeva palettes to my collection!

B. REPLENISHED FACIAL OIL REVIEW

B. REPLENISHED FACIAL OIL REVIEW

Hey Lovelies today I was going through my skin care and sorting it out when I realised I had to shared with you all about this product.  As I have been using for the past 6-8 months.   I can't remember exactly when I started using this product but I know it was the beginning of the summer last year so thought it was time to share my thoughts.  There are hundreds of oils available on the market so it is really important if you want to introduce one into your skin care you decide what you want your oil to do.  I wanted to add hydration to my skin and use it in the evening as part of my skincare routine to allow time for the oil to sink into the skin.   B. Skin care from Superdrug if you have not seen has been available a while now they aim to be easy to use, cruelty free & a vegan friendly brand.  They have skincare, makeup and a mens range available exclusively at Superdrug.

B. REPLENISHED FACIAL OIL REVIEW

This is the Replenished facial oil there are a couple different ones in the range radiant, enriched and this one replenished.  As you can see that I have used 3/4 of the bottle so I must like it!  Now facial oils have really exploded on to the beauty market in 2015 and become much more affordable and accessible.  The science bit says this oil has a antioxidant rich formula which delivers added vitamin C and E and moisture and softening to the skin through the Rosehip, Argan and Crambe oil.  Rosehip oil is really rich in antioxidants and is meant to also have anti ageing properties combined with the well know Argan oil full of Vitamin E I can see this is a good combination.  Crambe oil was not a oil I had ever heard of but when at the time I googled around (good old google!) I found it has properties which promote moisturising and suppleness to the skin so I will be definitely looking out for this in other products in the future.  I am no expert on oils but really like how this leaves my skin I apply at night time and in the morning feel my skin is really smooth and supple.  I apply around 3 drops from the pipet and then massage into the face and neck for a few minutes, it does leave a typically oil finish which is why I use this at night time, as I then can leave it on over night.   I have had no issues with breaking out or causing congestion on the skin and use it on average twice a week.  If I have particular dry skin or I am doing a mini facial normally on a Sunday evening then I would use this as my last stage in my routine.  At £13.99 it is not super expensive and they quite often have offers on at the moment you can buy one get one free!

Have you tried anything from the B. range ? What is your favourite facial oil?

JANUARY MAKEUP AND BEAUTY FAVOURITES 2016

JANUARY MAKEUP AND BEAUTY FAVOURITES 2016

Hey Lovelies today's post is all about January gulp favourites well this has felt like the longest month to me and christmas seems just a distant memory now.  So this month I have had chance to play with lots of new products that were luckily gifted to me at christmas santa was really good to me.  My one and only skin care favourite comes in the shape of this oil from this Superdrug brand B. it is the Replenished facial oil I have been using this product for months in my evening routine but this month I really upped the usage as my skin was super dehydrated.

JANUARY MAKEUP AND BEAUTY FAVOURITES 2016

Makeup wise I feel it has been the battle of these two palettes from Zoeva and Urban Decay.  They are both equally as beautiful and I could not choose between the two of them first ups the Zoeva rose gold palette which I picked up along side some of their brushes.  This palette has really exceeded my expectations and quickly became a firm favourite.  Quality vs Spend these eyeshadows are super pigmented and creamy they do give a small amount of fall out but they are too pretty more to come on this palette.  The other palette in my life has been the gorgeous Gwen Stefani eye shadow palette my favourite shades are Steady, Pop and Baby.  There are also some great crease and matt shades in this palette I really like the shade 1987 to highlight.  I love the packaging and the big mirror in this palette and the fact the majority of shades are neutral.   This last month I have rediscovered my love for YSL Le Teint foundation a very light weigh foundation I wear shade 50 it has a really buildable coverage but gives a flawless look.

JANUARY MAKEUP AND BEAUTY FAVOURITES 2016

For on the go I have been loving these Nudestix in gilt and immortal long lasting quick and easy to use I love a chunky eye pencil.  Eye liner wise hands down it has to be this Charlotte Tilbury Rock 'n' Khol liquid eye pencil in Amber Moon this is too good it does not budge and lasts all day I definitely will be buying more of these probably one of the best eye liners I have used.  Last up by no means least is the Urban Decay all nigh setting spray I had wanted to try this for a long time so I picked it up in December in the travel size to help my makeup last the party season.  I have been using this directly on to my real techniques sponge so it mixes in with my foundation and give it staying power making a big difference.

What have been your favourites this month?
