URBAN DECAY GWEN STEFANI EYE PALETTE REVIEW AND SWATCHES

URBAN DECAY GWEN STEFANI PALETTE REVIEW AND SWATCHES

Hey lovelies today's post I bring you all about the second palette I have been loving this last month the first one was from Zoeva Rose Gold palette and then there is this gorgeous number from the Gwen Stefani Urban Decay range.  As soon as I saw this palette I knew I wanted in my collection as it it just really beautiful from inside to outside.  So we all know that Gwen Stafani teamed up with the fabulous people at Urban Decay and I think this is their first celeb collaboration that I have seen or can recall the brand doing and what a collaboration!  Together they have created a range of products which are being released in two phases from what I know so far first came this eye shadow palette and then the blush palette, lipsticks, lip pencils and brow products.

First up lets talk about the packaging the case it self is pretty impressive and comes in this very study weighted hard case that shuts with a bang (I love the feel of this packaging it feels really luxury).  It has been designed to incorporate Gwen's love of black and white with graphics prints and a touch of gold thrown in, which I love and feel is very Gwen.  On the outside it has been designed to look like a empty palette with just a simple gold logo on it, then when you open it up it has 15 fabulous eye shadows set inside.  I love the huge mirror that you have inside as it is the full size of the palette and has the inscription "Magic in the Makeup" imprinted on to it.   Now their are 15 eye shadows 12 new ones and 3 re promotes from the permanent range.  Gwen has named all the new shadows in the palette by names they reflect her songs for example Steady and Pop.

As you can see there is a good mix of Matt and shimmer shades within the palette giving a good balance of textures and finnishes.  The palette is neutral based with a few pops of colour this palette I am sure will appeal to a lot of different people.  My Current favourites have been Pop, Punk and 1987 my only gripe would be there are a couple of shades when blended out are very similar for example skimp, bath water and blonde are only marginally different in tone.  Overall I really like this palette and have got a lot of use out of it so far!

Do you own anything from Urban Decay Gwen Collaboration?
